Chosen as “Emerging Artist” at Jordan Hall in Cary in 2008. Betty Ann has shown in the professional division of the NC State Fair for the last three years and in Holly Springs, Cary, Raleigh, and Apex, and has been chosen as an outreach artist by the Visual Art Exchange twice. She was Featured Artist at Glenaire in 2009.

Watercolor, pastel and silk batik tracing the transition of natural images from tropical Miami to the temperate seasons of Holly Springs
Betty Ann Packler is a native of Winston-Salem and has returned to North Carolina from the Miami area, locating in Holly Springs. She taught art in Miami for 20 years. She relocated to her home state and then began the evolution from Tropical to Temperate.
Take a visual tour from Betty Ann's “Hibernation” pastel of Bass Lake through “Tropical Window” (Home page, pastel) and two contrasting florals. “Blazing Reds” watercolor of orchids in Miami and “Iris” silk batik (top left side bar) painted from local flowers llast spring.
“Althea"s Grotto” watercolor (above) shows a garden setting in the pioneer home of George Merrick and family, the founder of Coral Gables, Florida. “October at the Spring” watercolor (left side bar) shows the actual springs in the wooded area adjacent to the church and Cultural Center behind the Town Hall in downtown Holly Springs.

Betty Ann works in watercolor, pastel, silk batik, and is beginning to explore acrylic painting. Betty Ann is a Signature Member of the Miami Watercolor Society. She won awards exhibiting her work in juried shows in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Naples. She is now a member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina and exhibits in regional and state-wide shows.
